Job Summary:

This position reports to the Technologies Supervisor and is responsible for supporting the Central Office Tech, Outside Plant, and the Business Office for purposes of managing subscriber database and equipment inventory. Maintenance of detailed records of installed equipment, ports assigned and ports available and telephone number lists are all responsibilities of this position. Additionally, this position participates in planning new construction and retrofit projects for subscribers.

Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Answer tech support calls from the Outside Plant, Central Office, and Business Office and other user groups.
  • Answer all questions regarding individual subscribers, success devices, projects, or cuts.
  • Construct new access points, gateways, and subscribers both manually and via flow-through provisioning.
  • Add access devices to AOE, SmartRG, cnMaestro and the MetaSwitch as needed.
  • Assist troubleshooting efforts in the field by providing necessary data to Outside Plant Techs who are responding to an outage or a special event.
  • Maintain login sessions to multiple platforms at assigned workstations including, but not limited to: AOE, Adtran, SmartRG, cnMaestro, MetaSwitch, and PRTG.
  • Manage provisioning of subscribers by first validating requested assignment, verification of facilities in field, formatting request, and forwarding requests for switch activation.
  • Update plant records with changes for follow up with the Central Office or Outside Plant for possible repair or replacement.
  • Maintain HSI customer list of subscribers who have violated the Company’s acceptable use policy.
  • Notify customers of violation virus or illegal download status and instructs customers as to proper actions to rectify.
  • Back-up for the Central Office Technician and, as such, will cross-train on all COT duties.
  • Perform other duties and responsibilities as required to fulfill job function, or as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • High School diploma, or GED required. Some college -an Associate’s Degree - preferred.
  • At least 5 years’ experience in the telecommunications industry.
  • Experienced with all MS Windows-based software, including MS Office, MS Visio, Word, Excel, Power Point, etc.
  • Competency with creating and editing Excel spread sheets.
  • Knowledge of MetaSwitch and Adtran.
  • Knowledge of AOE and CMS software.
  • Ability to work well with other employees and be a team player.
  • Excellent communication skills, both in the written and spoken word.
  • Ability to communicate courteously and professionally with customers and employees.
  • Excellent time management and organizational skills, detailed oriented.
  • Ability to work independently, to think analytically and be a problem solver.
  • Ability to work accurately under the stress of time constraints and deadlines.

Job Summary:

This position reports to the Cisco Network Engineer III and is responsible for the installation, maintenance, and repair Layer 2 and Layer 3 network. This position works with and supports NOC technicians with the maintenance and troubleshooting of the Adtran Network in addition to Juniper, Ciena and Cisco equipment. The Network Engineer also provides systems support to ensure integrity of company operating systems and software. Facilitates operating and software system installations, updates, and upgrades. Troubleshoots system-related problems and issues and works with vendors to resolve technical issues within the network. Installs, configures, and utilizes Software support tools to generate various reports for inner departmental use as well as upper management.

Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Troubleshoot software and hardware problems related to the Sacred Wind Network.
  • Install, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair all L2/L3 Network Equipment.
  • Configuration, maintenance, and monitoring of access servers, routers, and Internet servers including DNS, radius, web, LDAP, e-mail, network monitoring, and print servers.
  • Support Company’s field and NOC technicians with installation and maintenance of Sacred Wind equipment.
  • Work with the IT and Outside Plant Departments to resolve outages.
  • Read, interpret, and modify wiring and schematic drawings, analogue and digital circuitry.
  • Keep detailed plant records for each installed or removed circuit in our Network.
  • Complete ASR’s, trunk orders, and system diagnostics, as necessary in resolution of customer and Business Office complaints.
  • Read, analyze, and interpret technical documents, and reports
  • Perform other duties and responsibilities as required to fulfill job function, or as assigned.

  • CCNA preferred or working toward certification or the Juniper Equivalent.
  • At least 10 years’ experience with advanced software-based digital switch equipment.
  • At least 10 years’ experience in associated transmission peripheral equipment.
  • At least 10 years’ experience with telecommunications’ OSP and Radio Systems
  • Working knowledge and ability to install, maintain, troubleshoot and repair T1, T3, OC-x, Ethernet, radio, DACS, DSL, MUX, and IP networking elements.
  • Working knowledge of and an ability to operate Juniper, Cisco, Ciena, and Adtran systems installed in production at the Company.
  • Working knowledge of Linux/Unix/OSL systems.
  • Competency with creating and editing spread sheets and computer drawings.
  • Competency with and understanding of 48 volt power plant.
  • Working knowledge of current IT/telecommunications’ technologies including, but not limited, to WAN, LAN, Soft Switch, Ethernet, TCP/IP, routers, and switches.
  • Ability to utilize appropriate test equipment, T-Berd, Acterna, Firebird, volt meter, tone generator, etc.

The Outside Plant Technician position is a fulltime position, the primary focus of which is to test, service, install and repair various telecom Network elements such as Copper, Fiber optic and Radio wireless Broadband and Voice Services. This position requires exceptional computer and communication skills and reports directly to the Outside Plant Supervisor.

Responsibilities

• Installs, tests and repairs fiber, copper and radio network and equipment. Keeps necessary reports about each job performed.
• Receives and analyzes trouble reports, pinpoints cause and corrects the trouble.
• Locates buried network facilities such as Fiber optic and Copper.
• Installs and repairs outside/inside cable for internet and voice services.
• Works with aerial and buried plant in all weather conditions.
• Troubleshoots fiber optic, copper and RF equipment.
• Works with Voice, DSL technologies, WiFi, and IP based telecommunications.
• Evaluates job sites to optimize placement of antenna radio, fiber optic
or copper services to the home or business.
• Assists other departments remotely to troubleshoot Network equipment.
• Climbs various sized ladders up to 30’ extensions.
• Safely operates equipment such as: aerial truck, trenchers, power augers, snow machines, bucket trucks, tractors, etc.
• Handles emergency after hour callouts.
• Works evenings and weekends if required.
• Warehouse inventory & stocking duties.
• Maintains the efficient operation, appearance and records of assigned vehicle and equipment.

• Ability to bend, stoop, squat and lift overhead for long periods of time
• Must be physically fit to perform job (must be able to lift 70 lbs.).
• Ability to work in all types of weather.
• Willing and able to work unscheduled overtime.
• Able to climb poles up to 18’.
• Able to climb various ladders up to and including 30’ extensions.
• Must be able to perceive differences in wire and cable colors.
• Proficient in Windows OS, Microsoft office suite & other software programs that may be required.
• At least 5 years’ experience installing and repairing POTS facilities.
• Cross training capabilities for CO and/or RF departments.
• At least 5 years’ experience in splicing Network facilities such as Copper & Fiber Optics.
• At least 5 years’ experience installing and troubleshooting T1, DSO, Digital loop carrier,
High speed internet, and Wireless radio.
• Working knowledge of various test equipment- Side kick, 965 DSP, EXFO, OTDR’s.
• Working knowledge of locate equipment for buried Fiber optics, Copper cable.
• Electronics training or experience that demonstrates knowledge of AC/DC theory & electrical circuitry.
• Must have an in-depth knowledge of home/sotto network terms, including IP, DHCP, WiFi, RJ45, etc.
• Valid State driver’s license is required.
• High School Graduate or Equivalent.
• Minimum of 5 years’ experience in telephone network or related fields.
• Must live within 45 minutes of reporting location.

General Summary:

The Partner Engagement Manager is responsible for identifying and developing strategic business relationships with telecommunications carriers, ISP’s, national fiber providers, and other potential enterprise customers. The Partner Engagement Manager will take the lead in the development of new business opportunities that support Company’s overall growth strategy. The Manager must possess an entrepreneurial  spirit, passion for sales, and a proven track record of success, with a hands-on approach to building business opportunities.  The Partner Engagement Manager will be responsible for managing the life cycle of customer orders including coordinating with last mile partners, customers, and internal departments.  In addition, The Partner Engagement Manager will be assisting Leadership to identify process gaps and define and implement best practices to help us be an even more efficient and profitable Business Class organization. This position reports to the Director of Sales and Strategic Partnerships.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Identify and sell all available products/services to meet or exceed Company’s sales projections.
  • Educate potential customers on Company’s product offerings, pricing, and solutions to their needs.
  • Identify solutions, provide presentations, develop RFP responses, proposals, and negotiate contracts.
  • Work effectively and comfortably with decision makers, i.e., CFO, CTO, VPs and Directors, to develop long term strategic relationships.

Requirements:

  • 10+ years related telecommunications sales, project management, account management, or sales engineering.
  • Strong understanding of and experience in telecommunications sales in New Mexico.
  • Experience in customer relations with Tribal municipalities and agencies.
  • Extremely knowledgeable in technology and network design and trends.
  • Strong understanding of network topologies and applications (Ethernet, Wave, MPLS, VoIP, etc.).
  • Solid understanding of the regulated industry (government, utilities).
  • Sound business judgment, proven ability to influence others, and strong analytical thinking skills.
  • Effective Communication: Ability to communicate professionally & effectively with a variety of people, both orally and in writing.
  • Proficiency in the MS Office suite of tools with emphasis on Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Proficiency in revenue forecasting and sales funnel management.
  • Experience with Customer Relationship Management software, preferably with 1-2 years’ experience with Mapcom and/or Zoho One. Experience with implementation of a CRM is preferred.
  • Successful experience in account management supporting large business customers.
  • Strong business acumen.
  • Problem solving skills – with the ability to resolve customer issues or seek proper internal resources to facilitate resolution.
